Why does my SimplyThick EasyMix appear darker than usual?

We recently encountered batches of one of our ingredients that were slightly darker in color than our standard material.

Despite this variation in appearance, the ingredient did not impact any quality parameters, including overall functionality. Our ingredient supplier has confirmed that these batches are within specification and meet the established standard of identity. They also established that these color fluctuations will continue to be seen within the ingredient.

Due to the limited availability of the raw material, sourcing this specific ingredient has become increasingly challenging. Given the minimal risk to product quality and the difficulty in securing alternative supplies, production containing this ingredient will continue with an updated color specification to include a range for acceptable color within the final product.
