Mosites Aspiration Prevention Initiative
As the project manager of an initiative to prevent pulmonary aspiration in both the acute and sub-acute setting, I have found that SimplyThick is the perfect thickener for the end-user. Prior to its use, liquid constancies were being mixed without concern for measuring and often resulted in an unpalatable beverage that nurses were not confident in providing and patients were not interested in consuming. By making the switch to SimplyThick, nurses and speech pathologists find it easy to use and convenient in the nectar and honey individual packets which can be easily kept on the med cart or in a pocket. Patients enjoy the product’s consistency, no more paste-like juice; appreciating the usability in every type of liquid. Once discharged, family members feel confident that the liquids being given to their loved ones can be safely managed. Due to the overwhelming positive response from all end-users, SimplyThick is now being used throughout the two largest acute care hospitals in our metropolitan health system with plans to extend use to the remaining facilities. In addition, usage trials are underway to use SimplyThick in the health system’s long term care facilities. Kudos to SimplyThick’s wonderful customer service and product line!

Elyjah xxxxx was excited to get his SimplyThick this month! He's not the only one though! This stuff has been a life saver for us! Before being approved for SimplyThick we had to thicken everything with baby cereal or pudding so he was very limited on what he could drink! Now, thanks to SimplyThick, he can have ANYTHING!!! Thank y'all so much, we appreciate everything y'all do!
